Presentation of the international Project
“FROM EUROPE TO ASIA:” Capitalizing EXPERIENCE IN YOUTH WORK.”

It was held in Cagliari (Italy), today Friday 6th February, the presentation of the international Project “FROM EUROPE TO ASIA:” Capitalizing EXPERIENCE IN YOUTH WORK.”
“EUROASI” (shortening of the title), is a capacity building project co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program . The Project lasts 23 months and involves 5 youth organizations from the European Union and 2 from the Union of Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It aims at creating a collaboration for sharing and improving good practices on youth work between the partner countries. In particular, the project wants to transfer the good practices produced as a result of the last twenty years of youth mobility projects in Europe and to evaluate which of this practices can be used in the Philippines and Indonesia. EUROASI foresees a series of activities that will allow youth workers from ASEAN to attend trainings on management of youth organizations, it will allow youth workers and volunteers to do spend time in European associations observing how they work. On the other hand the European organizations will benefit of the presence of youth workers with a very different cultural background.

The meeting was attended by associations who are partner in the project: TDM 2000 International, TDM 2000 (Italy), Act Global CV (Indonesia), One Media Incorporated Boracay (Philippines), TDM 2000 Malta (Malta), Kulturno umetnisko drustvo Plac (Slovenia), Centro Jovem de Santo Adrião – Synergia (Portugal).

According to the President of the Network TDM 2000 International Angelica Perra “ the project represents an extraordinary capacity for growth for the organizations involved; both for those, in Asia, who will benefit from expertise and best practices of European Ngo’s, that for the European ones that will expand the storage of their experiences by interacting with organizations of another continent “.
