On the 30th April, our host organization organized an event called Kresovanje which literally means bonfire. This event is about lighting a big bonfire to celebrate the Labor Day the next day. This event was the 6th one and was held at by the Kolpa River where is the border between Slovenia and Croatia.
There were fun activities before lighting the bonfire. There was acrylic painting for kids, beach volleyball – there is a volley ball field with sands, break dancing performance by the local kids, a band played around 40 songs to entertain the guests and Okky performed 3 songs on the stage too.
I was in charged of taking photos of the events. It was fun even though it was a really cold night. Many people came to the event and seemed that they had fun. The bonfire was lighted at around 10pm and it was a pretty big one. This Kresovanje is actually a tradition from many years ago, however it stopped in the 1990s. KudPlac decided to do the tradition again since 6 years ago and has become a yearly event since then.
