The first thing that came to my mind after I arrive from Italy to Boracay island was ‘It’s a paradise on earth….but is it easy to live in the paradise?’ . After couple of weeks working with local youth, delivering free course on human resource management in their associations made me more aware about the strengths and problematics of this place. Moreover, getting familiar to Philippines culture let me understand that we are even more similar then different.

Sometimes in the world full of opportunities youth becomes spoiled by information and sometimes even not anymore active in the society. Despite of this fact, we found out that Youngsters in Asia, especially in Philippines are surprisingly active in their community. Young people in Boracay are very active citizens, socially responsible ,friendly ,ambitious and creative.

The international project ‘’Euroasi’’ funded by European commission, is a perfect example how sharing experience between Asia and Europe is bringing us to the new dimensions of future collaboration. Thanks to this project more than 15 young Philippines will have an opportunity to have their stage in Europe and make their dreams come true by increasing their knowledge and competences, opening their mind being innovative and creating new perspectives for their career future.

Due to the intercultural exchange as one of the most important element of the project youngsters will be able to put in practice their motivation and new skills gained in Europe and be more innovative and open mind   once they come back to their island Boracay. We invest in local youth as they are the future of Philippines.
